So far the FTs or so called talents...are pretty nice people. Met a couple of them from china, young ladies but I wonder what they are doing in singapore when local fresh grads can easily do their work. And they take comparable salary to us!!
Met a few filipinos from the IT sector, nice bunch of chatty easygoing people. I think they are paid the same salary as locals. But then the PMETs how??

There's nothing particularly good or bad about FTs. They're people just like us. The government's intention to allow a huge influx of foreigners to compete in the local job market in order to spur us is well-meant, but as the saying goes, the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
I prefer to be served by PRC girls at Food Courts or kopitiams. They serve cheerfully. And Filipinas at MacD or supermarkets, they are courteous and serve happily.
Singaporean service staff seems to view customers as a nuisance. You need to be lucky to come across one that does not.
So far got meet any cheebye kias who like to play tai chi or not? Or anyone from any particular country with weird habits deemed normal in their culture? This laksa stall near my place, 3 out of 4 staff all china girls leh. Haha now our mee pok and laksa is made in china.
Or anyone knows of any FT HR manager who only hires FTs and shun locals?
Or any jobs that locals can do yet done by FT with the SAME PAY!?!?!?

I went to my friend place at jalan membina (went to drink coffee one evening) at blk 26...I think so (there is 1 stall sell Tim Sum) and the cashiers and helpers are from prc.
I ordered a cher siew pao, but it was not hot, I returned and told the cashiers I dont know, the prc get angry and took the money and just dump into my hand. She took the poa and put it back to the container (those glass box). I find it very unhygenic since I have already tored the paper (poa), she just put it inside.
I thought of complaining to the authorities but my friend told me forget about it. As the stall will not last for 3 months. And it fact, saw customers returning their poa or siew-mie also. Probably due to sour and not hot.
What I want to say is the attitude of the prc ladies maning the store is terrible and horrible.
some stores really hire PRC and people go thre not for food but to try to hook them up. i see really those people must be real uncultured. this type also want. no not limited toPRC other nationalities also. so far my expereince eorking, strangers in life has not been good. like i said when they messed you see their culture come out already.
ghmen open door policies i am fine but to aloow to many of them in at a short time is bad for spore. the people on the ground not restricted by rules, anyone also hire. no strict rules and operating system to ensure only real talents , honest and good foreiggners comes. coz labor is abundance and cheap now and the law permits it so businesses and bosses just anyhow hire, pushed the wages and salry real low, causing many people unemployed or cannot get a decent job they deserved. this is not competition, like i always write, tthis is pulling down our pants and asking to be A****
Yes, employers employed foreigners epecially those low pay income group. Employers simply go for foreigners instead of employing locals. Making the sporean (low income group earners) harder to find a job.
Is that what the govt want to see the pple suffering?
They can talked about reducing the foreigners intake, this and that, talk and talk.
But no action also means nothing.
There must be some restriction or some form of fees if employers want to employed foreigners for low end salary jobs.

I love coffee, every morning I will usually buy a coffee in one particular coffee shop at my place.
And the cashier again a prc lady.
When she saw me, I dont need to say anything, she just go and make coffee for me. Of course she smiled at me every morning.
Got anyone marry a rich FT and now she is supporting you?

I think there's a cultural difference there. I ever bought a nice addidas bag a few years ago in this boutique, when i got my credit card back, it was with one hand and no thank you and no eye contact. Haha wth, small incident but a real eye opener on their service culture.
Actually I have met pilots who are singaporeans....no they dun fly with SIA. They've been rejected by SIA before and they now ply their trade in places like australia, africa, china and southeast asia....doing those general aviation commercial flying. I've personally spoken to them before and they don't look in any way less prefessional than the many many malaysian pilots in SIA??
I dunno....how ironical, Msia protects their locals by not hiring unexperienced foreign pilots....look at air asia, they have many young malaysians in there and they are growing like hell. And here in SIA, the policy remains unchanged..that is that the talents are always out there. They even went as far as HK and india to get cadets.
