where exactly to get help when we meet nasty landlord ?

i dont understand why there isn't a place where we can go ask for help when we are threaten by the landlord. we have been running to all places seeking for help but we are just been asked to refer to many other department. My landlord have been forcing me & my female friend to move as he gets 4 guys to stay with us. Now when we decided to move out, he threaten to take us to court & demand us for 3 months payment even after forfeiting our all of our deposits. now me & my friend are feeling so stress out because we dont not know what to do as he keep sending harrassment messages.

Keep your sms. Call the police.
One HDB flat or house cannot rent to 6 different persons. Your landlord has broken the law. Demand for your deposit. If not, call the police and see who wins then. -
i believed u may have already sought help from the police and they maybe telling you to seek legal redress and file a civil suit esp when there is absence of proofs...the "harassment messages" may not be sufficient evidence of harassment....
this may fully fall under the jurisdiction of the law of property....which will look into points of law regarding landlord-tenant lease agreement.....
in UK law, tenants are usually given the benefit of doubt....
please make police report if u haven't by the way...

what does your lease say?
if the lease is in your favour and he continue to harass you, go make a police report.
