Slowly.. my friend, after 2 years in JC, you see how many of those who say will keep in contact with you after Os, do actually still keep in contact.
It's exactly the same context of what happens after primary school. When you all go your different ways, it's hard to catch up with one another - some in poly, some in Jc, some gone overseas
Do i keep in contact with my primary school friends, yes some (a handful)
Do I keep in contact with my secondary school friends, yes, closer ones (a handful)
I do have a friend whom I regard as a best friend. (from sec school) Every mid sem/ sem holiday we will go to ECP to cycle and hang out.
For the past 2 years, without fail. I always fear that we might not have any topics to talk about after so long - it's a real long journey to and fro from the beach.
2 years and counting I suppose.

Go join some sports or activities that you like, at least when you are there, you have people of common interest there also, easier to break the ice, don't have to be too eager about stuff like that, let nature take it's course.
You will never know who would be your best friend only til years down the road and you look around and see who is still beside you.

awwww thanks. after that i already have a gauge who are my closer friends :) but throughout the past 2 years, even not going out during the mid sem don't you feel that you're drifting apart? and don't you worry that they'll find their own best friends in their own school?

sure you will drift apart. It's a natural process isn't it? We each have different modules to learn in school, we have different final year projects, we definitely have different time tables.
I'm in the school of engineering while the other party is in the school of business, I'm in National Cadet Corps while the other party is in Red Cross Youth.
We meet people all the time, we have to communicate with others all the time too. It's definite that we will all meet with someone that we are comfortable with or get along well with isn it.
Yes you will feel uncomfortable cause you two have no common topic, but jealous no.
Should you be jealous about that? -- Unless you have other feelings for that person, like you have fallen for him.
The fact that each of us do still remember about this appointment does say alot about our relationship
Friends for the moment doesn't mean friends for life. You can never be sure they are actually associates or true friends. It has to withstand the test of time.

People do drift apart due to jobs, other commitments - gf, bf, can try to keep in touch occassionally but sometimes have to let go if your efforts are not reciprocated.
Nothing really negative, wish those who drifted well and welcome new ones well also.
