i had to get this off my chest...
when i had chickenpox, i needed to go see a doctor to get the necessary medical leave so that i can stay at home and recover... and mostly, not spread the damned virus around...
however, in the past few weeks, i've seen parents taking their children who are clearly suffering from chickenpox to crowded places.. i saw a couple take their son who had chickenpox and walking around at Vivocity and another merrily parading the daughter with the virus around in Orchard...
worse, i saw an adult woman with chickenpox wandering around a shopping mall as if nothing is the matter, browsing through clothes at a G2000... i really really REALLY hope she didn't try on any clothes or the next person is going to get it...
what the hell happened to personal responsibility?
isn't the person with such a virulent virus supposed to stay isolated at home to get better instead of spreading the bloody thing around?
for the idiots out there who think "chickenpox is nothing", the 2nd stage is shingles.. it hurts like mad because it attacks the nervous system... people can get it again and again, and people do die from chicken pox...
what is your take on this because i really wanted to go yell at the parents and at the woman to go home...
Have not come across kids with chickenpox parading vivocity or nex yet.
other than stomping, can we report them?
yes. i do believe under some contagious diseases act, if they are found outside with these diseases, they will be confined in CDC.
that's where things get fuzzy..
for things like SARS and H1N1, we can.. chickenpox.. i really don't know...
and would the Police of HSA or MOH really care?
If they don't even care about 1m long snakes popping their heads out of forested areas, what makes you think they give a shit about kids with chickenpox running wild at vivocity?
and the other not so easy to detect one is HFMD.........
a healthcheck booth at every entrance of malls?
screaming brats with diseases are infinitely more dangerous than 1m long snakes ![]()
All shopping malls should set a quota on the number of baby strollers within its building at any one time. They are by far the biggest hazards at this point of time.
Oh yes, the baby strollers are the biggest hazards.
Once a mother pushed the pram towards me and tsk at me and said that I should have SEEN her pushing the pram and siam her (which i already did, walking away from her but she still 'bang' me ... =___=
parents with strollers (with or without a baby inside) think they own the aisle and we shd always let them pass first. ![]()
Not the aisle but the WHOLE mall or road... ![]()
i guess it's these parents around that restaurants are being forced to ban their crotch-droppings from their premises...
i for one, support these restaurants
it's time someone pushed back against these idiots without personal responsibility and refuse to be responsible for the atrocities against the public peace which their brats commit
If u got it... spread it.
They are just doing everybody a favour.. by spreading it. Its better to get it now.. than later.
lol!
The problem is a lot of people think that the world revolves around them.
And a lot of parents think they have all the rights in the world because they answered the government call for more brats.
well, i guess that's how i got my chicken pox for no rhyme or reason. These things have been happening for years then.
can wage war for such a cause, but it will be tiring
you start, i will support (morally) ![]()
write in to ST forums, see MP, call police, complain to MOH ask them start a campaign........... ![]()
how you like the feeling of your balls being squeezed?
i know how it feels
old people feel entitled to special treatment because they are old so they act boarish
parents feel entitled because they are parents now so they act like the world revolves around them
small kids feel entitled to demand whatever they want because they are young and "cute" and "do not know better" and also parents do not bother to teach their little tyrants
teens feel entitled to do whatever they like because they feel that the world owes them a living
