My friends told me that I would not have to attend my National Service if PAP lose the upcoming election.
How true is this?

no.. but they'll throw you in DB if you do not want to serve..
also, if you're not in the country, you'll be put on a list as a deserter and arrested by the MPs when you return
I believe if you have citizenship of another country you can leave during the years when you would otherwise be doing national service without any consequences. Anyway that is what I will be doing when the time comes.
I do have dual citizenship but according to what I found on the net,it is still compulsary for me to do my national service after my GCE 'A' level/Poly diploma education or their equivalent.
I guess I'll just have to finish my NS then emigrate.
From what I know the government in Singapore is quite homophobic, in other countries I am not sure if this is true in Singapore you do not have to join nation service if you are gay because it is considered a mental disorder. I am not sure if this will work for you though.

Ask your friend properly because I think he also said he would do NS for you and then after that he would also gladly do reservist training for you.
