aha. i can help if this is on pronunciation.
ㄱ,ㄷ,ㅂ is always pronounced as like the Mandarin Hanyu Pinyin "g", "d", "b" when it occurs in the first letter of a word or after a preceding ㄱ,ㄷ,ㅂ from the preceding syllable. These sounds are called the "unaspirated unvoiced consonants" which are difficult for English or European speakers, thus many instructional books approximate them to the English letters "g, d, b" because English or European speakers feel they sound like their own "g, d, b".
example: 가 will sound like Mandarin "尬", 다 will sound like Mandarin "大", 바 will sound like Mandarin "爸"
ㄱ,ㄷ,ㅂ changes to become like English "g", "d", "b" when it occurs after a preceding vowel from the preceding syllable or after a preceding , ㄴ, ㅇ from the preceding syllable. These sounds are called the "unaspirated voiced consonants".
example: 가 will sound like English "gar", 다 will sound like English "dar", 바 will sound like English "bar"
