Are you fedup with all the burning of incense in public?

I am irked by the smell, as it is harmful to the environment and to my health, not to mention the smell stained on my clothing, which is yucky. now is 2011, why are there people still practise this for centuries, generations after generations.
People dun understand, when one passed away, one brings karma to the next world, not money or house or whatever one can burn.

It is idolatry and we should only worship God(Jesus) and nothing else.We should beware not to wear crucifix as it is idolatry.

so long as it is done at a public designated area and fire safety precautions are taken...we all owe the public a duty of care...
in the condo i m staying, i do have a previous neighbour who burns it not far away from the doorstep on the homogeneous tiles......such matters should not be allowed....as we all pay maintenance fees, and having to bear costs of damage to the tiles, such behaviour is not to be accepted..all these should be done outside private estate or at designated locations as approved by the condo management...

I read that it was started by a man in the Tang Dynasty, could be Han Dynasty, cant remember. it was his practises then that led to today's burning of incense hell money.
but then there is a flaw there. those people who are born in hell, what about people who are reborn in heaven? so why no invent heavenly money for those reborn there? then what about people who are reborn as animals?

I'm ok with the incense smell as it only happen once in a while and I think we need to respect other religions too.
Rather, I'm damn pissed off with smoky vehicles, especially motorbikes, old cars, lorries. I hope govt pushes for environmentally friendy vehicles (preferably CNG) as legislation and incentives asap and get rid of those polluting vehicles from the roads. Its as good as breathing in second-hand cigarette smoke.

Hell and Heaven occupy the same space. One mans meat is anothers poison. Get it.

Fyi , we do really have incense for heavens and gods . How do you know whether the deceased go to heaven or hell ? If they go to heaven well of course thats the best , but if they go to hell , they gona need all those offferings and its gona take a long time before they are recarnated . 20 century still cannot prove everything by science yet . As and when we hear of miracles which cannot be explained by science .
Early days when western medicine gain recognition , they tried to abolish chinese medicine . But now , even some of the hospitals uses some of the methods in chinese medicine . Remember last time during one of the fund raising event on channel 8 for a chinese heavily subsidised clinic , got one old man who had cancer , and his western dotor in hospital told him he had about 1 to 2 year to live but instead he has lived for another 5 years and still living after undergoing treatment by the chinese clinic .
And there is also another news reporter in don't know taiwan or hong kong , was critically injured in a crash and her boss invited a few top " rank " london or duno which ang mo doctor and also a few top " rank " chinese doctor from beijing . The ang mo doctor after some checking , declared that the woman is brain dead and has no cure . But the chinese doctor from beijing force feed her a pill made from cow bile after checking her and alot of follow up treatment and she has since fully recovered .
