Hi it's me again! So here is it...
Imagine that is a recession now (touch wood), and Singapore's economy is not doing well. How will it affects the consumer markets?
Consumer markets = Markets dominated by products and services designed for the general consumer. (E.g. Catering industry, Apparel, Movies etc)

Some smaller companies might not survive through this crisis. Eventually close down.
"Bloomberg, July 26 -- The worst U.S. recession in firve decades probably eased in the second quarter (2009) as trade and government stimulus mitigated the damage from from declines in housing, inventories and consumer and business spending".
People spend less during such times. Some companies might not make it that far and close down during these times. Cause they do not have most revenue to cover the big expenses. I believe most companies will retrench people too.
