hi
i am an individual without a business or company name and i wanna buy like 1000 pieces of a small item in china, have it shipped here to singapore then try to sell it in singapore just for experimental purposes.
i am willing to pay GST when the items reach singapore customs. is it required to have a registered business/company name in singapore to receive shipment of large number of quantities of an item? or is it ok to have it shipped directly to an individual?
anyone tried this before?
thanks
Selling requires ACRA no as you are performing business.
However, having 1000 items shipped to you does not require any licence if the items is shipped to a home address with no intention of selling and the items shipped are not regulated items such as medicines, food etc etc.
Since you have the intention of buying for resale in Singapore, you need to register with ACRA.
