Maybe low birth rate is natural - Singapore is too crowded

Perhaps the low birth rate is just a natural phenomenon ?
Cant do anything about it.
Singapore is just too crowded, it is too densely populated.
Just take a look around you.
If you go to city, or any "public area", the situation is such.
Even for housing, the size of housing is getting smaller and smaller. Some small apartments can just allow you to move your butt.
Move butt from bed to chair, and walk to door. Very small.
Anyways if we look at the principle of supply and demand.....since land suppy is limited and finite, finally when the upper limit is reached and the reams have been filled....where else can the people go to ?
So isnt it natural that property prices are getting more and more expensive, and thus limit people's purchasing power, and therefore place a constraint on people's plan for marriage and child rearing.
Seems like there is nothing can be done about it.
It is a natural-COE.
I suppose our generation for the current time is the shrinking generation. We need to shrink until we reach more sustainable level.
Maybe instead of fighting it, why not think of ways to ameliorate or smoothen the negative shocks from the shrinking process (such as pension problems, etc).
Maybe this is healthy and is meant to be.

last time got alot of babies cuz pple eat full nth to do or worry abt so make babies lo if wan population growth then make sure the pple eat full liao nth to do lo tada!

but actually, there are just way too many foreigners.
last time when you took mrt to jurong at 9+, the carriages were basically empty.
now, it's filled with foreigners even at 10.

True leh... some time ago in ST article, got a pilot's wife said during interview that during SARS period, 'cos husband cannot go fly and they both at home nothing to do, end up made baby...

Low birth rate can be due to many factors.

there's no advantage in having a large population...................when kana recession, lagi more jialat...............
look at countries like Norway or New Zealand......................same population size as S'pore....................
you rather live there or here ?
China is now like a candle burning at both ends...................
let population increase and the chance of mayhem and chaos increase when there's deep recession...............
have only 1 child + so many young Chinese going abroad....................means the population will get older quicker..........................
either way...................disaster is coming................
