Is It legal to let mentally ill people to go out ?

  My mom met one at MRT today.

  Behaving strangely and talk to himself constantly.

  Is there any law to restrict such people from going out?

  He attracted alot of attention on MRT too.

  I have seen one such cases myself last year too.

  is ok..i once saw a chiobu gal singing out loud in china accent at a bus stop in the past.what a damn waste.

  ya, especially in singapore, i see alot peoples talk to themselves, kind of strange here. Maybe life is too stressful here, then everyday face the wall, so end up talking to themselves. It could alway due to prolong use of blue tooth headset, once remove, they start to talk to themselves like usual, but to others, it is very funny...hehehe..

  I am mentally sane.

  Of course depression and anxiety patients can go out.

  But what my mom saw is quite severely ill.

  Less severe cases can go out.

  I repeat minor cases can go out but what my mom said is talking to himself liao.

  That is considered severe.

  Hard to say whether legal or not.

  I think they will hang a card around their neck right?

  So far I saw a few in the mrt and they look ok as they are able to look after themselves.

  Anyway, pple know and pple will not hammer them. They will leave them alone.
