Our country has gone from a small fishing village to a 1st-world country in less than 50 years, this fact has always amazed me. Our people at the very least have basic education and generally self-sufficient. One can walk alone at night without fear of being shot/mugged. I have friends in other countries who constantly worries about their safety as soon as night falls, hearing gunshots/screams in the neighborhood. Our recent election in Singapore is still considered "polite" as in nobody resorts to killing/kidnapping. The election has not even started in Thailand but some opposition member has already been shot in the head and there's more killing to come I guess.
Now, the PM has listened to the people's concern and had a major cabinet revamp. This really shows his sincere intention to understand the people. No government is perfect, in fact, nothing is perfect. Our leaders are trying all they can to ensure Singapore march on towards a better future. What we citizens can do is to give back to this country by taking responsibility and doing our part. This is the reason why the song "Home" by Kit Chan always touches my heart.
Then? So?
songs are songs, poems are poems...
political future be left to the careful judgement of the people than singing your way home
Eh, hello redwhite-s'pore. It's nice to see you again. After being thrashed here, nice to know you also making a new start.
If his government is so good, I wonder why he needs to reshuffle his cabinet. MM Lee and SM Goh stepped down also. Is Singapore doomed now? When they pass away, are we doomed?
respect the past so that the future could be respected in return
I agreed that spore is relatively safe place to live in.
The only concern is the cost of living. The fear that pple are facing especially we dont know when is the next wave of increase coming.
The young and articulate opposition candidates came out in full force.
They campaigned without fear.
The people responded and suddenly, fear disappeared and they regained their voices.
Both the people and the candidates realised in the course of just nine days that they have the power to change Singapore.
Then the whole world will belong to the people.

Spore need changes to have a better life living in spore.
Just goes to show that a patriotic nation, devoid of any form of corruption and is guided by a strong, determined leader who is respected and honored by the populace can achieve so much.
I am happy that pm finally change its cabinet ministers and some of them (not popular with the people) offered to step down to give way to the other who can help the people and help to make life easiler to live in spore (I hope so).

Sg has already been entrenched with the basic fundamental of a humane software of the love to live harmoniously. Reshuffling of cabinet is liking reformating our mind that has accumulated bad sectors unknowingly so as to live a much more pleasant living ambience ahead![]()

so much virus day in day out, soon will hv systerm reformating or follow the red Chinese to use Linux for FREE...BTW do we still need to spend S$12b(12,000,000,000)per year for defence budget?
There were two methods; you fight your way and I’ll fight my way.
Whatever the military logic, it can be reduced simply to these two sentences.
What is you fight your way? He seeks me out to fight but cannot be found, thus ending abortively.
What is I’ll fight my way? We concentrate a few army divisions and brigades, and eat him up.
Everything is divisible. Since imperialism is a thing, it also is divisible, and can be eliminated piece by piece.
Chiang Kai-shek’s 8 million-man armed force is also a thing which can be eliminated piece by piece.
This is known as smashing the enemy one by one which is the logic expounded in ancient books of Europe and China.
It is very simple, and has no profound logic at all.
There are certain modern sciences which require a longer time to learn, such as guided missiles and atomic bombs which must be researched and manufactured.
It does not take long to train soldiers in the use of weapons. One month is enough to train artillery troops.
Several months or at most a year is enough to train drivers and aviators.
The principal thing is to train on the battlefield. During peacetime, training should be conducted at night.
During wartime, learn by fighting. Haven’t you said that you have read my articles?
These things may not be very useful, but there are two principal lines: you fight your way and I’ll fight my way.
The sentence I’ll fight my way may be divided into two more sentences: if I can win, I will fight; if I cannot win, I will run away.
Imperialists are most afraid of this method.
If I can win, I will eat you up; if I cannot win, I will run away, making it impossible for you to find me.
In the beginning, we used guerrilla warfare in both offensive and defensive operations.
The basic method was guerrilla warfare.
When we were fighting Chiang Kai-shek, we moved from small battles to large battles.
Later, we used 300,000 troops to wipe out his 500,000 troops.
We used three fingers to bite off his five fingers.
We were a minority, so how could we eat them?
We did it piecemeal. The result is that we swallowed them.
