I would like to know the views of the community about the 30 Hour Famine Camp.

I'm sure there are mixed feelings of this upcoming event. What is the whole point of getting young people to experience it themselves before they have empathy on suffering people?
I think its purpose is to partly let the people involved in the famine to experience it themselves, but also its just creates a 'purpose' or abit of a motivaional factor for them to seek out donations, as well as for those who donate to see that the person is making an effort.
I thought it has always been a 40 hr famine? Since when is it a 30hr famine?
I thought is 40 hour ?
What is 30 hr or 40 hr famine? just starve a bit and you know you can go home and have your hearty meal. Famine is when people don't know if he will have another meal again, when people will have to find food, when they will have to decide if the last piece of bread should be given to their parents or their children.
just wayang wayang for the little kids, for them to experience what hunger is like. How long do kids today take to feel hungry? may be 6 hours. How long does it take before they really would go beg or hunt for food?
Make it 40 days. That would mean something.

That's nice...and to what shall those turn to whom do not have access to food and raiment?
40 day-famine.....yep, alot of people would sign up fior that one!!
it's actually either 30 hr or 40 hr. Ngee Ann Poly chose the minimum. 30 hours.
Artificial famine...omg, these peoples really know how to do charity business. Get you to contribute and yet do not need to provide foods.

Did the bible mention about money? oh well, maybe the bible missed it, and even with it, nobody is content even to their deathbed.
