Same here. I find that a nice "Phhhhhhweeeeeeeeet!" carries clear across my school courtyard and up 4 floors. I can grab the ear of any of my students when I do that. Screw the intercom system.
Its a way to gain attention since other people will also turn that direction.
Works well in schools 100% a lot of students turn your way if you do that.
