  i know a pair of cute twins like 2 strangers living unde the same roof.

  In the olden days, I mean our grandmother's era, twins of opposite sex,龙凤胎were considered inauspicious. The twins must be sperated by giving one away. I have an ex-colleague who is about late 40s was given away when born due to this reason.
