I was watching the 'Hard Truths' video by Lew Kuan Yew and he says, 'we are not preventing competition, what we are preventing is dats getting into government'. What is a 'dat'? Forgive my ignorance, but I've only visited Singapura a few times, and am not even sure if I am spelling it correctly.
