Hi All
I purchased a website from someone in Singapore over Flippa.com and they guy ripped me off for $1800. He was using a fake name when he sold me the website, and the web service that supported the website (what I really was paying for) turned out to be fraudulent. He promised to refund my money (in writing) but now he has disappeared.
Since I do not live in Singapore (I live in the US) it is difficult for me to travel to Singapore to take legal action against this person. Does anyone know a good legal avenue I can explore to force this guy to repay the money he agreed to repay? Any advice would be appreciated.
Ask the bank that the transaction was voided due to fraud and reverse the transaction. Submit the document to the bank to support your claim.
See if this works.
You got cheated. Too bad.
Last time, I also spend some money to buy an american website. And the compyany just wind up and that is it.There is no way for me to fly to US can chase that person. Luckily the company pay for it.
I paid thru paypal and they won't reverse the charge.
I'm wondering if there is some way I can have a lawyer send this guy a demand letter. Sometimes that spurs people to respond.
Report to your local authorities, submit the police report document to paypal.
if u are oredi going to a lawyer, why are u here for legal advice?
