Noise Pollution

Recently, my house here is damn nosiy. It have going it for about 4 months already. 1st is the neighbour living on the unit above me, don't even know what the hell they doing, hamming, drilling and banging something don't even care to see what the time. Day also like that, night time also like even in the wee hours of the night also like that. 2nd, don't where recently comes a group of teenages everyday around 7pm to 9.30pm in between make alot of noise at the playground yelling and shouting like crazy bunch on mad people. 3rd, there is an inconcentrate neighbour living and the opp block, everyday noon on the bloody music so loud that it almost tear the entire block down. i have make complain to the HDB, town council, resident corner (RC) and even to the police. The answer they give is "we are trying to see what we can come do". That's what they say. i wonder where can i ask for help to stop all this noise pollution or to minimize it?????

Move out.

You can take your neighbour to HDB because he has a fixed address. Go and find out which unit it is. Ask them to impose a fine.
For the rest, vote for another government that won't pack the peasant population so damned tightly together.

is it somewherre in ubi avenue?seems like someone there or people there are turning place into a factory making windows etc etc for subcontractors.

used to have a neighbour like dat for years everyday till i immigrated.i called the police,the just take note.so i went up and demanded what the hell were they doing for years every day n nite so loud.
so i migrated since police are powerless and i need to break every single bone on the man in front of his mom and wife to silence him.

Mediate with your neighbours.
Tell them they can make noise, when you are not it.

Punch them in the face.

Yes report to the authorities to demand them to take action.
If still cannot report it to the police.
If still cannot, report it to your mp.
If still cannot, pay a visit to your neighbour and tell them to lower the noise.
If still cannot, move out.

Counter-noise and make life unbearable for him.
Or ask Amitayus to show him how to be more loving.

After 11pm, send police to control the noise volume. Say a group of teenagers making hell lots of noise, and suspect they are doing something illegal.

First you need to investigate and make sure it is not structural noise from the building itself.........some buildings have internal noise from the pipes......
Go up and take a closer listening at night......make sure it is human activity.....then if you can pinpoint the place, why not just knock on the door and talk to the resident......ask nicely to keep the noise down.....simples.
Second,
For the resident opposite you who like to play music loudly....same remedy, go pinpoint the source....knock and talk.....
For teenagers...again same remedy.
It is important that you try to be nice and polite, and make a request that they keep the noise down.....
If you write a letter, lodge a complaint...etc.....it wont be effective....the most effective thing to do is face-to-face communication directly.
If you really wanna solve the problem, you have to do this.

This guy (refer to Hit) needs the Princess Diaries. Power of Princess Elin can only sooth his heart. But he opted to escape to Oz and not help the Sg to rebuild the country. Is there any appreciation for wat Sg and PAP did to help this fella? None whatsoever. -

Last time I rig a machine which is a long pole with a small hammer at the end attached to a timer machine. Every 10 minutes, the long pole would hit my roof so the upstairs neighbour can hear. When I go to work i would switch on my machine. If the upstair neighbour drill or hammer until late at nite, i would activate my machine early in nthe morning so the neighbour cannot sleep.

You must be very frustrated. Seem like no one is able to help you. Please allows me to raise the following questions:- Are your neighbours affected by the noise pollution? Are you having insomia? Are you having a lot of stress recently? Are you having problem at work? Are you feeling better after sharing over the forum? Please share with the originator on your problems in a polite manner. They should be able to help you. But if they can't. Perhaps you can get yourself an ear plug. You can get it at beach road. If it is too troublesome to go there, use cotton wool. Take care. :)

You can make your room or house sound proof, alternatively, you can loan out those big speaker used in the election and place 4 of them facing your noisy neighbour, everytime they make noise, you shout into the speakers...vote for PAP, vote for PAP.....!!!!, i think even MP will come down

There are one type of people that are snobbish, dont want to talk to neighours, proud, and cannot mix with them. A minor noise will agigated them alot.
