Just recently,
We read in the news that 1 hour before an event at Bedok Reservoir attended by former minister George Yeo,
Another man died, presumably by suicide.
That made it an umpteenth case.
Is it logical and reasonable to keep publicizing these suicide cases, when it is almost 95% certain that their publications would only serve to inspire and give ideas to other people who are suffering from depression to follow suit and commit copycat suicides.
Doesn't take mean that each time these Bedok Reservoir articles is written, blood is on the hands of the journalist and editor ?
Why cant they stop writing about it, to save lives.
How many more lives should be lost by suicide at Bedok Reservoir before some people at the newsroom start to get an idea.
The truth is out there... <insert X-files theme>
The media did not actually sensationalize the current hot spot for suicide... What they were reporting are just the facts. Seems like suicidal rates increased quite lately....
