Quite expensive
when looking at gems, the course only teach you basic stuffs.
it's the experience that counts when you work in the gem industry.

If you never go for the course and have no experience and no knowledge, the gem industry may not want you when you apply for a job with them

all design-related courses are expensive. 100 a day is considered cheap for a part time short term course. can u imagine paying $60/hr for a full time course??? i think in sg, other than the school M the name suggested, no other choices left for u to consider. unless u want to do a full time jewellery design course?

Compare a $1000 part time night classes for 2 weeks for a jewellery course
with a diploma course provided by a recognised pte school such as PSB, MDIS, etc, total hours about 300 hours as they have lessons around 2 or 3 times part time a week for 1 year which cost around $2000 to $3000 for the diploma course
Its clear that the jewellery course is overpriced

guess u didnt totally understand what i was trying to say.
do mdis and psb offer design-related courses??? most of them offer business management related courses only.
a design-related course cost alot due to the heavy use of materials and machinery.
what i was trying to say is, the design related courses cost alot of money. a full time course in design cost 60/hr, which amt to ~$7000 in 3 months, a 2 years diploma will cost u $56,000.
if u compare a 2 years full time diploma which cost $56,000 to a fast-track 2weeks part time course for $1000, it is NOT AT ALL overpriced.
u understand now??
