It's fine, white lights or flourescent lights are many many times more efficient than conventional lighting ( yellow lights ).

Check whether the bulbs are the regular T8, the shade whether cool white or warm white does not matter.
The current bulbs for energy saving is the T5 bulbs, which are slimmer than the T8.
To switch to the energy saving lights, you need to calculate the change over costs, and the time need to realise the savings.
Okay, so both T8 and T5 are energy saving bulbs, right ? Just the T5 is more efficient than the T8. Conventional lighting makes use of filaments and argon gas to emit light.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
They have incandescent light bulbs, were taken over by flourescent light (T8), when more energy efficient lighting were called for. The T5 came after the T8, when even more energy savings was wanted. The LED lights is just as efficient in consuming less power, but promises longer lasting bulbs, and therefore lesser replacement cost.
BTW, if u lack light bulbs, just take from ur corridor.
