bankrupt - will joint-name condo be seized?

  Hi,

   

  Greetins,

  If I am bein sue for Bankruptcy,  Will my condo be taken away for if is under a joint name and my wife is the one paying al the while?

  anything with ur name on it legally will be possessed

  but u can find a lawyer to handle this if can prove tt your wife is paying for it
  and if she can continue to pay for it, the bank can consider selling your share of it to her so she can own it totally

  so tt spouse does not need to bear legal consequences

  Also today(Imagine 3rd day of CNY!) One law firm representing Uob pasted a bankruptcy notes chapter 20 of 7 pages on my door when they are people in the house!

   

  Can I go to the police? IS like loan shark right?! Out to embrasses u before u are a bankruptcy?1

  Can they even do that at a condo?  won't they be stopped or something?

  remember to buffer some cash for the legal fees, stamp duty and stuff for the trsf of your ownership to your wife

  the law firm ppl can just hand deliver the note instead of pasting on the door.  I guess diff firm got diff SOP bah.
