hello i'm not sure if this is the correct section to post, but please forgive me and move it to the correct one if im wrong :) so what i would like to know is, is a student pass holder allowed to work in singapore part time? i'm currently a malaysian student, not a singapore pr or singaporean citizen, who's waiting for the poly to open school ( direct translate from kai xue ). from my previous interview, the lady told me that they need to apply a work permit for me to work in singapore, but since i'm only working short term, it would nt be worth it for them to apply for me. w/o a work permit, i cannot work in singapore, according to her. but then, i looked up in MOE(ministry of education) website, and look here look thr got redirected to MOM (ministry of manpower). quoted frm mom website : " Foreign students from the above-listed schools/institutions who are waiting for their final examinations results or convocation are also granted work pass exemption."
I'm in the " above listed schools" too. so yeah, would like knowledgeable people to clarify this issue for me, sorry for the lengthy post though!! thanks ^^
