If we are talking about just the general attitude.....I believe yes because Singaporeans consists of three main anthropological groups, namely Chinese, Malays, Indians,....are all Asian peoples who have high emphasis on social hirearchy, order, respect for elderly, collectivism, high-context interaction, and so on etc etc.....you know the drill..
So some of this has basis in cultural underpinnings. It is a little bit deeper and more fundamental than just what the socio-political system is.
As a matter of fact, the socio-political system is not the main reason or the main force which shapes the prevailing general attitude.
Socio-political system is a manifestation and crystalization of the underlying fundamental cultural factors.
It is only at the surface level.
Still, to be more specific, maybe you can elaborate a bit on your main ideas ?
