Hi Everyone,
I was wondering if you guys ever seeked the National Environmental Agency (NEA) for help before ? Well this was what happened to my family when we tried to seek help ..
I live in a landed property house in Telok Kurau, located near Eunos. There is a very big tree outside my house which have been causing problems for us.
Firstly, the fruit from the tree dropped down and landed on my family car top which resulted in a deep dent. Secondly, the fruit dropped onto my garden's flower pot causing it to break into 2.
My family reflected this to the NEA requesting to have the tree chopped off, and NEA replied saying that they will ask a supervisor to come to my house to have a look. It was 2 months since we called for NEA's assistance and still no action have been taken from them.
The reason why we brought the issue up is due to the danger the fruit might cause to residents or passer-bys. First it was my car top, second it was my flower pot, who knows the third might be someone's head ? i believe that won't be good :(
If any brothers or sisters here could advise us on what we can do to hasten the process .. Kindly drop me a message in the forums or reply to this thread !
Thanks alot !
Regards,
Edwin
Have attached a picture for reference and better understanding :)

somone curse ur family by making the "fruit" drop on the car.
me never heard of durain dropping and killing people, only coconuts
that's why the term coconut head came into motion.![]()
seriously .. the tree is very tall ..
its a real case here ..
I had the same problem before. Complained and the branch was removed, tree still standing.
Can you post a picture of the tree and your fence for a better understanding?
got case lumber?
call everyday and "gently remind" them
fifi, if we remind them rudely, they wun get to work is it?![]()
oh, i just rbered.
shd be calling nparks, not NEA
unless the tree is breeding mossies
u call salah dept no wonder no response.
in the meantime, wear safety helmets to prevent any head injuries..
wat fruit is tat...
eh.. actually now it's difficult for them to remove entire tree, for ppl will complain... the most is wat alize have said, the branches..
Nparks..................
the best thing to do when they dun respond is to elevate...
send the email to npark, cc to minister, nea....
sure work ....
seeking to NEA will just land u a few months to wait for them to sent a mail to Npark.
yes u should complain to Npark and if they did nothing then yr minister.
ok i'll post a picture of the tree and my fence later when i get home :)
thanks for the current advices atm !
Nparks have replied on the above mentioned issue.
Thanks everyone for your inputs.
You want NEA to act faster? Tell them got mosquito breeding problem at the area round that tree. I gurantee you a response within 2 days.
don't tell them about falling fruits, they don't give a shit about falling fruits.

All over Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanma, India, Philippines Cambodia, Puapa New Guinea, all the Pacific Islands, Hawaii, the Carribean Island all got coconut trees. And the coconut are bigger than your fruit, and have ever one coconut drop and kill a person?
And you are afraid that fruit will drop and kill someone?
