Any good dermatologist to recommend (to cure acne)?

  i have acne on my face for 3-4years. (im 18 now)  i've tried quite a lot methods but none of them worked... now the pimples are subsiding but can see many scars... is there any good dermatologist (affordable also )in town who i can consult with???

  why don't you go to a doctor who is qualified to answer your question instead of trying to find an answer in the internet where mischief is the order of the day (especially here in sgforums)?

  im planning to go to National Skin Centre to see a dermatologist..  does it help??  someone told me that NSC's not bad....   has anyone tried NSC???

  sure i did..................

   

  antibiotics killed my immune system for good.....................pills were effective only for a while................and when you stop, things get a lot worse...............

   

  all the commercial creams and cleansers they make you buy are totally useless...........

  Use ache aid - a facial cleansing foam recommended by doctors that's what I use. Pretty effective. Of course it also depends on what you eat, how much you sleep and the amount of water you drink

  depends on what kind of acne...............

   

  hormonal acne very hard to fix................

   

  acne can be caused by Dermodex Mites (dermatologists will say impossible)

  or automimmune disease.........leaky gut..................candida overgrowth...............or congested liver.................

   

  avoid MSG, diary products, sugar, any food containing gluten like noodles, bread, cookies.................avoid caffeine

   

  to fade scars can try apple cider vinegar applied to the face..................

  maple clinic also another one...........................they sell commercial creams at super marked-up prices....................

   

  they work for ''simple'' acne.....................if hormonal acne or others like i posted earlier...................won't work at all.................

  Quite severe at first...

   

   

  Then I went to Raffles Hospital Aesthetics Clinic and saw this doctor.
  Took chemical peels and Doxycycline (medication that removes the acne bacteria and it is an antibiotic) and after four peels and six months on medication (and ongoing) my skin is so much more smoother and better...

  Only bad thing is that I have to be on that medication for pretty much the rest of my life.

   

  But since I'm considering doing plastic surgery after NS and emigrating out of this sh8thole that doesn't really bother me...

  But the slight problem is that Doxycycline confers photosensitivity. So I stay indoors and out of the sun. But that's fine with me because I'm an indoor person and not a sports person. If you are the latter then it might be an issue for you.

  bacteria is not main cause of acne at all...........that's why you see people that heck care about their skin + oily skin but their skin is great !

   

   

   

  so for hormones, it's like this.......

   

  if not enough of certain hormones = acne

  if too much of it = acne

  if the ''used'' hormones not properly removed = acne

   

  you can try out Vitamin D3 1st, people have cured their acne with Vit D3 which help control hormones, then MSM powder...........

   

  go Acne.org and read up how people tried Vit D3 and MSM powder and also Silica, if want to buy them then private message me for a great place to buy + discount !

   

  diet very very important so avoid those foods that i mentioned earlier.........doctors will tell you fried food and chocolate will not cause acne but they will.........

  fried food is toxic to your liver and if your liver can't remove toxins from your body fast enough, they go out thru the skin in form of acne !

  chocolate has a lot of sugar.........it's killer !

   the cleansers is ok..

  the creams i detest most are OXYs

  

  clogs up way loads. Especially oxy cover.

  can try Himalaya Neem Face Pack..........use ice on pimple then apply this mask on the spots, wash off 1 hour later or even overnight.........very good

   

  or apply apple cider vinegar on the spots.............

   

  others say Desitin 40% zinc oxide nappy rash cream is damn good...........i tried it and it was a disaster for me !

  From my personal experience, it cost about $40+ - $100(depending on the severity).  Usually, he gives you pills + cream. It takes time to work. For me, first 2mths no diff, acne outbreak continued, after that my face gradually become clearer and clearer. After ur acne is cured, u must continue using the night cream. The cream contains tretinoin(if i am not wrong), helps to prevent acne, lighten pigmentation and reduce wrinkles. Try google 'tretinoin' for more information.

  Tbh, pills + cream any GP can dispense.
  The pills would be a tetracycline-cycline derivate.

   

  One can get Doxycyline or any other cycline derivate drug from a GP.
  Not that I'm saying your doctor is bad, but for that cost I'd rather get it elsewhere.
