Right I won't go into too much detail as I have a Biology Exam to sit for tonight....
From a former student's (secondary level) perspective.
I had the opportunity to attend that school as a launchpad of sorts before joining a mainstream MOE school within Singapore. (as had the majority of my classmates).
My class had a rather strong regional (ASEAN) presence in terms of the student population there, I am sure those living close by will be able to atest to that. As with any school there will be groups of students who are there to study and those who are there just for the sake of going to school or for other dubious reasons, a problem every private school faces.
Most of my classmates (some have remained there) have moved on to other institutions (Some have gone to JCs(after taking their Olevels there), others to polytechnics or private institutions within Singapore). One has to consider the fact the the student cohort is not really local.
No school would hire incapable teachers. I had a rather enjoyable time there (although it was relatively short), they knew what they were teaching (they aren't teaching theoretical physics...hahas) of course there were times when one thought they could have had improved their teaching methods. It really depends on the student, no one is there to "force" you to study (the difference between a MOE school).
The very fact that you are using the term "grade" and your style of writing suggests you are not local. I assume you are Malaysian? I might be wrong. You could consider one of the many international schools within Singapore (of course that is if your Parents are able to afford the school fees, 25K upwards per year). Tanglin Trust (as one suggested) may be a good school to consider if you intend to enter a British University (take GCSEs at their school and continue on with their sixth form program for their AS/A2 courses perhaps?). International schools (I am attending one now) have a different studying enviroment compared to local MOE schools. As for girls... International school girls can be rather assertive at times.....
Of course one will not be able to help you much if you do not enlighten us on why you want to go to a private school or even your plans regarding your future education.
Hope this helped!. Sorry if I wasn't too detailed. Am rather short of time right now.... Now what is a chiasmata and its relation to meiosis again?
