Waste of money if i have 3 sets of curtains for each rm?

  My husband n i moving to our new hdb n i told him i wanna get 3 sets of curtains for our rooms. He finds it very waste money. do you all think so? Lidat i can always change curtains ma.. then our hse feels new every now n then. hehe

  Yes, it is a waste of money. When you wash them, you don't wash the whole house worth at one go right?

  You want your house to feel new every now and then? Ask your hubby to repaint the walls twice a year, and change the floor tiles every 2 years loh.

  huh isnt tt more inconvenient n waste of money? wash can jus send to washing machine or dry clean..wash one set at a time? den wun waste further money on painting n tiles mah...painting n change tiles i have to stay where? haha

  I think its perfectly fine. So ur curtains can be different to mix your 3 sets of pillow cases and duvet covers.  he he

  yes!! my sentiments exactly. Then lidat see alr very shoiok ma right? like got changes made to ur hse lidat. just like clothes also always buy new ones to match other accessories right?? :):)

  Don't but three at once lah.

  Buy one first, then when need to change, buy the next.

  Unusally when you buy three at once, there will be one set you will regret buying.

  nothing better to do. 2 sets enough. how often you change curtains? one set change the otehr one dry wash is enough. curtain have their uses, to block the heat from the morning sun. you will know it in sg now the flats al very small no way to escape the monorning heat when sun rises.

  My family used to have curtains for the past 2 houses we lived in, but they were a pain in maintenance, so now our home has no curtains. Only the living room window has blinds.

  If i were you, i will get 3 sets of curtain for every room, 3 sets of curtain for living room.
  
  I will change the curtain every week, and repaint the wall every 2 months to see which paintwork will suit the curtain
  
  Also, on top of the curtains, i will buy 3 different sets of furnitures, and interchange them in each room, and see which combinations is the best
  
  It is important to have 3 different sets of bedsheets/pillow cases/etc for to go with the 3 different sets of curtains.

  
  After which, i will invest in different smell of air fresheners to see which air fresheners fit with which design combinations.
  
  It would be a bonus if i can get 3 different lighting schemes(colours) to change the mood of the room.

  trust me... when the whole flat only two of you and without a maid, you wont have the time/energy to change the curtains very often.... esp when both of you are working full time...

  ok thanks guys for your helpful advice. I guess i will make 2 sets first. In future then change if need. Haha. Anyway, you all know any good curtain maker? :)

  Take the measurements and buy those ready made ones from IKEA

  Custom make curtains are usually dissapointing because they are made by third party freelance seamstress, not by the shops where you order them.

  hmm but those from ikea the quality is quite bad leh. My friends told me they dun last long.
