Wastage of plastic: recycling bag designs

We are a group of students embarking on a project on reducing wastage of plastic bags in retail shops. As we are touching on issues relevant to the design of a recycling bag in its efforts of curbing this wastage, we hope that we could be given some assistance.

you want the plastic bags to be recycled for what purpose? I use all the plastic bags from supermarket for my rubbish, for packing dirty things, then throw away...don't really need a specially designed plastic bag...and please ensure that the retailers don't increase price because of the use of specially designed plastic bags.

and the material to make these bags is........................................... ?

there are plenty of bags around to replace the plastic bags. but then how many people actually bother to use it? retailers dispense plastic bags like nothing.

If all retailers gave out bags like M)phosis, I'll be inclined to reuse them.

A few details about this project: its to target the wastage of plastic bags in retail shops. We're not giving away the recycling bags. They're to be sold at the retail outlets, with a discount of up to 10% per usage of bag with purchases. Aim to incorporate these bags to current lifestyles. Also, material used is something like Tyvek but its Singapore produced, called Oxium, 100% oxo degradable plastic. It has manufactured several plastic bags for Billabong and other retail outlets.

I think it might be a good idea if you allow graphic designers to upload their design and you print for the designers. Like threadless T, it's a community-designed T shirt selling company.
