Why are there not many inventors?

  Why are there not many inventors in Singapore nowadays?  Years ago, they were coming up with all kinds of gee gaas.

  1) we do not have the equipment and therefore can do nothing.

  
  2) if it works, it will be confiscated by the government. If you do not let it go, you will be confiscated from your family. *laffs*

  3) due to people around us saying "you cant do it one lah" or "HUH? bullshyte" or "if u can invent, why still so poor?".
