I have an aunt that lives in singapore, and it seems really nice. I'm 17 and after college(im currently in high school) I plan on renouncing my US citizenship, so far I'm thinking about singapore, hong kong, taipei/new taipei, beijing, shanghai, or guangzhou. So as for singapore, how hot is it during summer and other seasons? what are some popular foods, sports, and other things most singaporeans do on thier freetime? Btw do the minorities there see everyone as equal? im chinese btw, is there anti chinese sentiment or do people usually get along? I have lived in a small town that's 98.5% white(also racist/extremely conservative) my entire life in a warmongering, ignorant, imperialistic, trashy, stupid, islamophobic, sinophobic country.
singaporeans can be rude and confrontational too. They like to debate their point in your face until you die.
if you like living in a 3 room apartment that cost USD400k, then go for it.
better, cheaper and faster culture. Stress out.
singapore is design to make people work - everybody stands, everybody walks, everybody runs. Motion creates work. Therefore you hardly see seats at the bus stop or the shopping malls. Because the PAP govt wants you to stand not to laze around.
Big income gap between the normal work-to-death singaporean middle class professionals and the PAP robing ministers who earn $3 mil a year and pentecostal pastors who earn $500k a year.
Hot and humid weather. Prepare to sweat a lot. And bath 2 times a day.
sg has what it take to be your home likewise to other countries like US has what it take to be a home. it's a choice of freedom and democracy. sg is an equal place becos it's near equator and historically, there was only small flooding that does not cause life. it has a nice bridge prepared for you to tour msia, and ferry to indonesia island. there is a nice sentosa island of peace. if u r lucky, one or two topless culture u may see at time there. north south east west and center are equipped with aircon, there are many swimming pools for you to cool. Foods are never an issue, but for a healthier and environmentally friendly like you, go for a bit different at least several days a week ... http://www.vegetarian-society.org/fdl A lot of activities, like fund raising run, walk, communities relaxation, indoor, outdoor, convenient of public transport....list goes on.... and the dignity of humanology depends on how you want your heart & mind to be. finally, if you decided to stay in sg, let go US when u r in sg land, for goodness sake, otherwise, the comparison never end and your self-psychiatrist may stigmatize you....

the water that comes out from every tap in spore is recycled sewer water.its like that since 2002
Singapore is more hot and humid than the other countries you mentioned.
I don't think you'll find any problem mingling with the people here, because 90% of the time the only people you come in contact with are PRC chinese, and pinoys.
If you could stand in the most crowded spot of orchard road and randomly throw a pebble at anyone, chances are he ain't singaporean.
ARe you really sure you want to settle down in Singapore? Singapore is rated very low where human right is concerned. The govt is ever ever money hungry on getting people to pay and pay and keeps giving rise to the cost of living. Majority in Singapore agree that the singapore citizens are treated second or third class people in their own country.,
Think twice, think thrice, think million times before you make any hasty or unwise decision.
Chinese from China don't want become citizens. They come here work or study, after that they return to China. Settling down permanently in other country, China Chinese don't usually place Singapore as Number 1 country they want to live permanently.
we don't like foreigners
Singapore people may seem abit rude when you first start to live here~
But do get to know us better and you will fit in just nice =)
Some of our culture maybe weird like using tissue paper to "chop" (reserve) seats ... haha but one you know whats going on it will be all good!
The only bad thing abt singapore is its weather and its non stop stress!
it's very bad here, house and car very expensive, inflation very high, u will work the whole life paying for loans and mortgages, no pension.......... very bad, unless you're bringing your father's money here
xenophobia.....
actually here is considered very safe. just that if u want buy car and house, expensive. but u got the money, i think u will love here
what is so nice about this dot that people will love it. chey!
Why don't you visit you aunt and find out what its really like here.
Stay for a month. At 17 you should be able to form your own opinion of a place.
There are people who like it here and want their children to grow up here. And there people who can't get things their way and they bellyache alot.
Only thing all have in common, is that they find Singapore very hot and humid. But they get used to it after a while. Its not that bad as there are just as many rainy days as when the sun is blazing hot and cloudy in between.

Dude, u must be living in the East coast , yes?
Go to the west coast where there's plenty of diversity.
Better delete wait get summon letter to court sarcasm
FWIW: a person cannot simply renounce a citizenship and then pick where they would like to live. So be sure that you are able to be admitted as a resident and then gain citizenship in the country that you wish to reside in.
You will find that there are plenty of good and bad places all over the US as well as any other country. The earlier advice given about visiting first is very good.
Best of luck in your adventures.
if i were you i will choose taiwan
