Beside bakery training center bitc..any other places to learn?
Want to learn some bakery... went to that web..but kinda..blur. 0.0 ..
Anyone in that school? How is it
Try Shatec if you want to do pasrty or baking as a career. Sunrice is also another very good alternative but more expensive then Shatec. Check both to see if the course are covered by WDA, not sure which school is. I prefer shatec cause they dont just teach kitchen stuff, other necessities are taught. Not sure about sunrice but you can check. Shatec thou is more well known for their hospitality as oppose to culinary.
Both will give a very recognised diploma in this industry. Most of the people in this food industry graduated from shatec but the course can be expensive. Alot of top hotels in SG recogise the Shatec and Sunrice diplomas. Shatec also has alot of connections with top hotels in SG for their trainees during internship.
If not you can try to get a part time job as a kitchen staff (Doing preparation work, ask first) in a bakery for experience. They'll teach you but it wont cover alot of the basic you need to progress to make bakery into a career.
Take note thou, speaking from experience, This industry requires just as much work experience as paper qualifications. If you got paper but no experince u have to start low but sure got room for promotion. (Minium 1-2 years experience).
However, if you have only got expereince but no paper qualifications then your promiton will be limited. So both is just as important but paper more so in the long run.
