In Malaysia, a lot of foreigners give birth in malaysia and abandon their babies. Even that these babies are considered aliens with no citizenship status.
So if you are vying for malaysian citizenship on the basis of your birth here, forget it.
The only way you can be malaysian is that your father must be malaysian and he must register you at the hospital at birth.
If your mother is malaysian but your father is foreigner, you will not get the malaysian citizenship.
This applies to chinese and indians.
That means if parents are Singaporean gives birth thier child in Malaysia during vacation, this child will issue a Malaysia birth certificate instead of Singapore one, even this child is Singaporean, but he/she country of birth will be in Malaysia. -- ^ Is this right?
country of birth and citizenship are not the same
if the child is born in other country, u will not get a birth cert. only a doctor's letter or something to prove tt a child is born in tt hospital.
u asked about country of birth. it is where the kid is born, tts all.
citizenship can be Singaporean, if you register with ICA
trzero not listening at all. If can born in malaysia and get malaysia citizenship, all the pregnant women from nepal and myanmmar will be going to malaysia to make sure their children get born.
Only place that issue citizenship for birth is in hongkong.
i think he/she wants to make sure his/her kid is Singaporean and not Malaysian.

someone must drill into his head that country of birth and nationality is different...
nationality can change... but country of birth cannot change... nationality maybe hongkong, american, european, nepalese, but it wont change the fact that u were born at a certain country...
i am born in pakistan............
In India.
Obviously country of birth will be Malaysia!!
