Guys,
I have a HDB flat which has not met the 5 years minimum occupation. I work overseas.
Does anyone know in the eyes of HDB, what constitutes continuous living ? Does returning to Singapore and living in the flat for 4 to 5 months a year represent continuous living ?
Do parents who live in the flat while owners are away overseas for long periods working, still form part of the min. occupation period ?
Question: for those who have rented their flat out while working overseas and have not met min. occupation period, what is the longest period that HDB allowed you to do so ?
I suspect in my case, I might be forced to return to Singapore because the officer in charge of my flat- hearing that I might be in Australia for maybe 10 years- appears to be reluctant (just hearing from his voice) to renew my application for renting flat out. Of cause I might just be too sensitive. Its been 4 years of renting flat out. There is nothing on the HDB website that stipulates max period allowed, thus I assume indefinitely.
Thanks for anyone helping, I just do not want to break any rules but at the same time, I just don't want HDB refuse my renting renewal request, and I'm completely amongst other things and especially financially, unprepared.
