Hello,
Not so recently shifted into new house, about 5 months+ already. Everything is good but only one issue, the water pressure coming out from the taps are very small.. It is so small that the water is clear and not full of the white bubbles.
The shower is even worse, the water literally just drips off your hair. I have went down to the Main contractor's office to ask them but they could only send one worker up and change the filter for the taps, no difference at all..
I am certain that I'm not the only unit that is facing this issue, they recently went around every unit to change the filters again and they claim that it would make the water pressure stronger, this must mean that many people have complained to the office too, right?
I could live with this but it's really irritating when you have to bathe under a shower with that little water. Was wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same issue with their homes?
u can adjust yourself
outside your unit got a door. the thing to adjust is inside
i dunno wat it is called
and im not going to go out and just take a foto for u
If your water pressure still sucks after adjusting the main valve, then ask the MC if there are other valves in the ceiling, specifically for your shower, for you to adjust. If still cannot that means
1. the layout of the pipes sucks.
2. they used very small diameter pipes inside your walls.
save water
bathe together
In Singapore, new house, the meaning is not clear leh.
HDB flat, private apartment, landed property, condominium?
Which floor?
Water from roof top tank, or direct supply from PUB?
If only you have low water pressure, that means the problem is yours, you solve it.
If everyone have low water pressure, that means the supply got problem, so call town council or PUB.
go BSC complain during the DLP.
remember to bang table.
it helps. really.

I have gone out to that door to open the thing using the "key" HDB gave in the mailbox to open all the way liao.. :(
choose a shower head with the smallest micro holes and with the least number of holes.
superglue some of the holes in the shower head/ melt the holes with a heated screwdriver to cover some of the holes.
8 replies to this thread, and we still dunno which floor you live in.
Alright, most hdb blocks, regardless old/new, the first 3 floors from the ground usually get their water supply from the underground mains, not the roof tank, hence water pressure should never be an issue.
Almost, all old/new flats have their roof water tanks upgraded with a booster pump, there is almost no chance of the booster pump breaking down, because of redundancy (got 2, not 1).
You gotta check if your water pressure is constant throughout the day, because some boosters work on a peak timer, and not on-demand.
Do a simple test with your main valve, find out how much flow you have in its fully shut, and fully open position.
