my grandma, her name is Saleha (78 years old) was actually borned in Singapore but was brought to sambu island, indonesia. from birth she was adopted by a netherlander (Muhammad saleh) who works as the head of tax lien at sambu island. so she doesnt know her real parents.
after 2 years living in sambu island, she was brought by her step father (netherlander) to sabang, indonesia. when she became 5 years old she was brought to kuala simpang, until now she hasnt found her real parents.
she recalls the word "seng hup" (probably a company in singapore back in 1933).
