Hi... question for our respected LEOs of Singapore:
You happen to see a typical looking local man outside a 7eleven, take out a folding knife that was clipped to his trouser pocket, and proceed to use it to open a box of crackers, and then clip it back to his pocket. He was totally non-threatening, or playful, in anyway while using the knife.
Let's say his knife is a Strider SMF. (Please google it for pictures.) It has a 4" blade, with a cutting(sharp) edge of 3.5". (It is rather "tactical" looking, but from what I could research on our statutes, is not deemed a "scheduled weapon".)
Would you walk up to him to question him about his knife? Do you think, or know, if its agains the law for him to own, and carry such a knife in public?
Your views will be appreciated. :)
give full name ic number and contact. i forwad to police with this post and ask whether legal or not.
Such wit and humour you possess... :)
i carry a nail clipper
is tt under possession of dangerous weapon?
and this is why some topics in here list their last post as 7 years ago or more.... people who think they are witty and funny, cluttering up posts that they have no interest in whatsoever.
Sigh...
yeah.
I carry a small, art penknife with me. Is that dangerous? I also have a mathematical instrument called a compass and calliper, they have sharp ends which can stab people, hm, is that dangerous?
You are thinking too much.
i more powerdeerful, my knife can retract. when need to use can extend. but police will never catch me when they check my knife instead of made of metal its made of human meat and flash and blood.
first post people, if you think you laojiao because lurkin here or make new clone account - whichever , are targets of fun if the post is silly

Your english is kind of ... uhm.... poor. So I can only guess at what you're trying to say.
My post was TO the Law Enforcement Officers of Singapore, enquiring about the legality of carrying knives for utilitarian purposes. I'm pretty sure they don't find this topic ridiculous or silly.
But hey, who died and made you in charge of deciding what is silly or not? And once you decide its silly, you make fun of it? By talking about your retractable meat knife?
Wahahahahahahahahahahah..... YOU'RE the funny, friend. Thanks for making my day :)
