We hope to rent it out first but I guess tenants may be hard to find so we will prob end up using it as a weekend home....
Can go shopping there every weekend...milk powder is at least S$20 cheaper per tin and parking was only RM$1! Can get sharks fin for S$10+ too!

Actually, my seller has to give a bumi release letter before state consent can be given. She misunderstood that state consent was rejected and had wanted to terminate the sale so we have explained to her and now awaiting her reply. She would have to pay 10% of purchase price as damages if she still insists to terminate so hopefully she will not.
DO u commute to work in Sg or work in JB?

The prob with renting is the high tax of 24% that we have to pay . But apparently if the rental agreement goes unstamped, we can avoid paying this tax. But dunno if legal or not...
Oh, so most Malaysians let their rental agreement go unstamped when renting out? Good to know nothing happens to them. That is what my agent said too. She said if any future dispute just need to pay a small fee to get it stamped to settle dispute more easily...
I hope so...
So how do u occupy yr time after semiretirement? Do u feel bored sometimes?
Just watch an Taiwan travel show and for those who didn't know, if you retired and want to travel to the world No.1 best beaches in the world to enjoy, that where you have to go to Seychelles. This is the place where National Geographic rank this as number 1 beach of all the beaches around the world!
HI Zulkifli, do u happen to know if we can bring in our Sg maid on social visit pass to work for us without MM2H or if we can hire a parttime maid in jb without MM2H?

Sometimes feel like selling everything in Sg and retire now as putting the money in a fixed deposit can also give us S$5000+ a month, more than enough to live on in JB. Can even put children in international schools...when time for uni can use some of the capital which had been protected to put them in IMU in KL where their medical graduates can work in Sg. The remaining money in fixed deposit can still give us S$3000+ a month even if we spend S$600k on their uni fees...

5000 a month is 60000 a year in interest.
Assuming 1% annual interest, that means you have 6 million dollars.
6 million not enough to retire? ![]()
