I thought Jieyang is predominantly Teochew?? Yes, but apparently there are also Hakka in Jieyang.
I can't speak Hakka. But I recommend this online Hakka dictionary from Taiwan's Ministry of Education, supposedly they teach Hakka in schools of Taiwan:
http://hakka.dict.edu.tw/hakkadict/index.htm
Just input the Chinese character and find out its romanization and pronunciation.
i know of a kai en who is a female.
ask around old folks who are hakka.
Try the Hakka Association...
