Recently, I think there is a social segregation between top jc students and average jc students/ poly students.....
And?

of cos u hang out more often with ur classmates and schmates bcos u spend so much time together everyday

I have always said that university is the great leveller.
Once you're in, everyone is the same. No one in there cares whether you're from some top JC or some neighbourhood JC or some poly or whatever nonsense.
And I say this from my experience of four years as an undergraduate and another four years as a graduate teaching assistant who teaches undergraduates.
And TS probably thinks I'm talking rubbish when I say you get to mix with FTs and learn together.

What i means is social segragation between Top JC students vs Average Jc students/ Poly students....Not FT vs Singaporeans

we have no time to mix
When poly guys see hot JC girls suddenly no segregation one
When JC guys see hot poly girls suddenly no segregation one

woah…
what’s next
ite vs poly?
"education" its not the books tat educate u, its where social responsibilty is inculcate into our education tat shapes the value of our lives.
some teachers r just social parasites , they r just there for the wages n destroying the values of the slower students.
the education system here is wicked as the Head has no sense n Tail has no clue in watever fuck they r doing.
and u are the outcome?

what did u mean by that???? actually, I am going to one of the most popular course( business course) in one of our polytechnic. Most of my coursemates and i are actually qualified for mid tier jc...so our academic standards are more or less similar to mid tier jc..so indeed we are not inferior as compared to jc students...just that i myself feel that there is a social segregation between Top Jc students vs Poly students......
y u judging ppl by their academic standards?

Okay, you have established your lack of inferiority to JC students. So... How did you come to your conclusion on this so-called social segregation?
lol...due to som conversations between top jc students
" Poly students are lousy.., that's why go poly.."

I quote you:
'lol...due to som conversations between top jc students'
Two points:
1. This evidence is at best anecdotal. Where did you overhear this conversation? Did you even hear it? And does a conversation between a few JC students apply to all JC students as a whole?
2. No offence, but if the conversation is even true, then I say that you have basically proved them right with the grammar you just used.
Like I said, once you are in university, everyone is the same. No one gives a rat's ass about which JC or poly you are from. Don't believe me? Get back to me in a few years' time after you have matriculated at a university.
I will agree that there are JC students who look down on poly students, and poly students who think that JC students are snobbish. Freak, my own poly-educated cousin snubbed me just because she thought that JC students are snobs. Well, sucks to her.
All I can say is that if you are affected by this kind of people, then you will be inferior. If you just flip them off and carry on with your own life, then you will get ahead of them.
In some ways its true.
There are those in poly who weren't good enough to qualify at that point of O levels to be in JC.
Yet in the longer term, it takes more than qualifications to prove one's self.
That said, the nation's obsession with going to JC without knowing why is very un-nerving.
When you start working, no one gives a hoot where you came from.
lol, half of the students at my poly qualified for jc lorh...jc only need L1R5 of 20..zzzz..most ( 2/3)of the ppl from my poly business school are qualified for mid tier jc such as cjc....the other 1/3 of of poly course mates are also qualified for jc, but jc at lower end lorh..not necessarily jc is so superior lorh..but ppl in top jcs are for sure damm arrogant
sour grapes isit

Look who is segregating who.
Can you read my point carefully?![]()
How are you gonna get a first class in biz degree if you have such attitudes and display ineptitude in comprehension?
