thye can edit.
that's how people do it in the movies.
digitally. they need high end software and the peple who can do the editing with the software. but its niche and high end. the whole soft and hardware probably cost money.
that's why we have makeup artists, for motion picure set to help make actresses and subjects look good on screen.
understanding your persepctive and lens and every subject's flatering facial angle and build also helsp in video making.

TS saying she know someone in real life not nicce. but appear in videosomehow is nicer - or people say nice. people may say so because never see subject in real life. or people just say becasue they have to say something.

nowsadays lots of people use DSLR as video cam.
but they dont know the bst are still digi cam corder.
only convenient and got HD so people say good. can easily tell differnce between DSLR and digicorcer outputs.
DSLR suffers in very poor focusing speed and accracy, and many think they use DSLR lens can focus very need they forget its a DLSR lens not a DSLR macro lens theygot on cam body. so you see when focus very near the image and faces OOF.
another thing is lots of DSLR uses rolling shutter, so got jelly effect and worse is when the subject or cameraman is fast moving, again focusing spee and accuracy suffers.
DSLR is good for stationary and interviews, viedo with not much fast pased actions, or shot at wider angle persspective, in this case some moderate pfast paced action shot is possible, but suject not too near please.
some canon DSLR vieo quality are mostly better than nikon DSLR ones.
the main advantage of DSLR video is the freedom to use the manual focus ring for in-out focus effects freely, unlike digicam corder have to use on screen controls and very troublesome and also dont know can record th in-out focus effects while 'manual focusing' or not. only costly higher end (e.g canon HFG10 and above professional grade cams) have manual focusing ring.
dont just look at HD and image quality. look out for focusing accuracy and speed, exposure consistency when transitioning between a brighter area to a darker area.
some sample videos below
(1) A sample weddig video
As timeline 2:45, very clear the groom buttoning up his suit the hands focus is out. see the whole vieo and take not, not once and many times the subject (can be face, faces, objects, and event body parts like hands and legs) focus are out and soft. no not creatively or purposely done for sure. i have nothignaginst this ivdeo and company, but just to illustrate some technical shortfall of a DSLR for video. and trust me this guy is using DLSR video mode to make this video at certain or all the frames.
this is not the only one that produces such videos, there are more others doing like this but still got people say good and they can still get jobs. clients only wanna see portfolio and more videos and on actual day they happy can oredi.
want a real professinal look , check this one out.
no mention of equipment used. but ther eis a possiblity that this one at vimeo was done with DSLR equipment instead of professiona cam equipment.
(2) scenery shots with no closeups.

This video looks very good. uses a canon 600D and enhanced by using glidecam for the balanceing effects. but user know the pros and cons of a DSLR video and uses the pros to his advantage. notice no clsoeup focusing and thus high the shortfalls.
(3) Action shots

same guy again using 5Dmark III with better AF system.
Rig:
- Canon EOS 5D Mark III
- Canon 16-35mm F2.8 L MK II
- Glidecam HD-2000
Spec
| Recording Size And Frame Rate | 1920 x 1080 (Full HD): | 30p / 25p / 24p |
| 1280 x 720 (HD): | 60p / 50p | |
| 640 x 480 (SD): | 30p / 25p |
video was best viewed at 1080p but if he had uses the 720p option with 60p frame rates, the slow motion frames would have been smoother. download the whole video at 1080p and watch note the slow motion scenes, theya re soft. also user uses wide abgle lens 16-35 and avoids closeup focusing on sibjects so no OOF and blurring in most scenes.
