Town Council charges for keys retrieval from lift shaft

I am a resident in Aljunied area, anybody here ever come across of paying a $25 for retrieving keys from the lift shaft ? My neighbour ever got help from the Town Council but without any charges, how come now need to pay?

Because your area now under WP, not PAP.
And hor, to be honest, to get the maintenance guy from the facilities management just to come down, disable the lift, just so he can get into the lift shaft to retrieve your keys, 25 bucks justifies the cost.
Imagine your block only had 2 serviceable lift shafts, to shut one down for half hour kind of inconveniences the block of residents loh.

u can just lodge report to TC
when they found it during their regular maintenance (i dunno how often.....) they will put it at the TC office. u go there collect. FOC plus receive a gentle reminder to be more careful. no need so kancheong take out keys in the lift oredi.
if u panic and spam their lumber and say u want it retrieved pronto, if u are the TC, u will charge $$ also rite?

True enough if we want them to come immediately to retrieve but I didn't lor! I just ask if they can retrieve, they straight away say pay $25 buck! Haizzz.....
Worst is that, they called me back and ask me if I want to retrieve as the maintenance guy is around my place but still I have to pay 25 bucks????
But how come last time no charges and now there is wor?

How they know you want immediately or not? You never say mah? They not psychic leh.

who ask you to drop keys in lift shaft? why so kan cheong take key out when enter or exit the lift? why cant take out only when about to reach your door?
a large part of aljunied area is under marine parade town council.
