just curious.... does anyone know what was the very very first post ever made in sgforums?
it seems that the old pages of this site was not archived?
the furthest i could track back seem to be a post made in 21 Oct 1999 by forummers Grail and John Wong... this was before fireice time

haha...recently, i seem to be interested in nostalgic stuff
just to give you an idea of what 1999 was like back then:
... there was no websites like facebook or twitter, not even friendster (remember them?)... people were using ICQ
... the internet was starting to be hot, and many dot com companies were starting up
... there was no google search yet, but a beta version of google was started
... nathan became president in SG
... macau was returned in china ceremony
.. people were worried about Y2K, that all systems around the world will stop at midnight 2000
... but that didnt stop people from having big parties to countdown to 2000

想当年 when SGF still can put signature... got ppl like YanNanTian have pages long signature...
after his 1 post, u need to scroll scroll scroll scroll scroll down to see the next post... and back then mouse got no mouse wheel...

想当年computers were running on win98 and win98 second version... there was a old south park cartoon back then where they had one of the characters asking bill gates why the win98 was so slow, and before bill gates could answer, he shot him.... i think this video can now be seen on youtube...
