Everyone gets what they deserve.SG is built on offering labour to other contries. Act as cheap outsourcing for high tech. Exactly for this reason the corporates use SG as a place to get much work to be done for low price. Plus the people there are often said to me selfish,racist,self-centered and hankering after money. So what goes around comes around.
All the best.
Thanks for your reply, Bio-hawk. I just feel it is quite sad, notice people around me working very hard and looking stressed most of the time so I think there must be some truth. I feel the pressure too, cost of living is going up every day. Does life have to be like that?

:-)
That's why in life, we must pick what we like to do.
Now, every single job will be stressful [unless you want to be a cleaner] and stress should not be a deterance factor when finding a job.
happiness is a state of mind

Hi Summerhill and FireIce:
Thanks for penning your thoughts! It's good to know that people are still looking on the bright side of things.
@ TehJarVu,
You seem to have misunderstood, this is a genuine question I am pondering over and not some 'assignment' as you believe. Appreciate your stopping by anyway.

I still think life is very unfair anyway.

or should we just earn sufficient to live by? is that advisable? what if it rains and we don’t have rainy day allowance?
we are all [Losers]
What shirt_less expressed is exactly the dilemma I am thinking about when I posed the question.
There's all this talk about work life balance lately and I know we definitely are not there yet compared to our overseas counterparts...yet can we give up the chase for money and survival and be content with a simpler life?? I think the whole education system and everything else makes it hard for us to do so since we have been taught from young to strive for 'success'.

Poor is not in the mind, provety displays itself so brightly in our reality.
Being poor is hoping that you'll never come down with an illness, you are too poor to take the day off and pay for the doctor.
Being poor is not having enough space for everyone in the house to live comfortably.
Being poor is seeing how few options you have.
Being poor is wondering what sort of fool drops a penny on the ground and doesn’t pick it up.
Being poor is a motivator to never be as poor as your parents.
Being poor makes you appreciate everything you’ve earned.
Being poor is looking back and wondering how you survived.

tell me if your happy if you can't afford medical treatment for your gravely-ill loved ones. i know of a dad who chalked up more than $120, 000 for his kid treatment of leukemia.
he applied for A LOT of assitance. I really pity him, 31 and he already half-bald and looked really really stressed. I managed him because he went and thank Mr Gan for all the assitance lor. It seems to me that Mr Gan favourite advice is that singaporeans must take personal responsibility in their health and be healthy.
I also think the same..singapore is becoming crowdy day by day..
Some people who are poor, are always happy. Afterall , they might be doing things they like to do , thus feeling more happier compared to those who worked for money and doing the things they like. But in Sg, money hard to earn , somewhat had to live too as cost are increasing.
