Seeing how 76% of Singaporean workers are not happy wif their jobs I decided to do a mini survey myself to see how u guys think bout ur jobs.
My father has worked quite a few jobs before, recently for an MNC , where he has since quit cos his boss shouts at employees and constantly have to work overtime (no pay). Cos of that, now he's jobless and vry weak and have to take a long break b4 he can work again. He has worked in the US for quite a few months for job training and he said that in the US workers are treated with dignity and respect, where the hingh ranking executives even remembered and mentioned him by name even though he was there temporary. I recently started part-time work at a retail chain. The management dont really care bout my name and one of the 'in-charge' refered to me as 'the boy' and most of them dont notice me. My co-workers are friendly and helpful but their pay seems vry little.
Therefore if u readers are working full-time/part/time , intern etc , do state whether what ur work is and whether u are happy and satisfied with ur work. And oso maybe share about ur work experience like pay, work/ife balance, career advancment. I only care about if generally u are happy/unhappy and satisfied/ not satisfied with your work. eg, if 60% of the time u are happy and satisfied with ur work, i consider it generally happy and satisfied and vice versa. And oso if u are working at a high-level job in PAP , dun bother posting here and fck off cos I know how much u pay urself while causing things like high cost of living making life hard for all of us.
I will post the percentage of happy and unhappy ppl after a certain no. of posts. TY
Yup, i enjoy my work now!
I am happy. Key is to understand yourself.
I had worked in US MNCs all my working life. It's a mixed bag. Some bosses are great, others are lousy. You decide what you want. There are choices like your dad chose to stay away for a while which can be beneficial.
I recently found a genetic testing service which identifies your personal traits. That could be an option as a way to know aspects about yourself. I think I have passed that stage but may consider for my kids though.
I love my job, I wanna stay here forever.
