So...I was tuning my guitar today and one of the strings came out..or broke...I'm not really sure. I was wondering if it's going to be very expensive replacing a string? What's the price range? And also...I'm just a beginner trying to learn how to play the guitar. How to I start about learning? Thanks for all your answers! :)
is it a steel string guitar or a nylon string?

ya penisula... best place to hunt for guitar!
usually beginner learn basics from acoustic. string is fishing one.
when you learn enuff and feel a step ahead to more advnace you can buy electric. can buy extra string lengths. learn to re-string yourself should not be too difficult. esp for acoustic.
else can keep long armpit hair, pull and can play with many black strings.

If the string taste metalic, its steel. If it taste bland, its nylon.
Similarly, to test if your guitar is classic or acoustic, you simply measure the width of the frame where the strings are attached. If the strings are very close to each other, its acoustic and the strings are generally steel. If its quite spacious, then its classic and the strings are nylon.
Acoustic guitars are more for strumming. Classic guitars are better for plucking.
