$0.20 fee when you top-up ezlink at ATMs

  With effect from 1 July 2014, the convenience fee of $0.20 per top up will be implemented across all DBS, OCBC ATMs and AXS stations. Cardholders can continue to enjoy free top ups at all Transit Link sales offices, Transit Link Add Value Machines (AVM) and General Ticketing Machines (GTM) located at MRT stations and selected bus interchanges and EZ-Link Top-up Machines at People's Association Community Centres.

  EZ-Reload (Auto Top-Up) using VISA or MasterCard credit/debit cards issued by DBS Bank and Citibank will now also enjoy rebates on the $0.25 convenience fee charged for all cardholders. To apply, please click here and enjoy the benefits of EZ Reload Now!

  Maybe also cos it's billed to credit card instead of NETS-equivalent, so banks stand a chance to earn interest and fees if you forgot to pay bills.

  Not important if it is First day in singapore or not to know. ...........   your dearly beloved  govt.  If you appreciate the fact this piece of news is of relevance to those people who use atms to top up you will know nothing to do with what you said.

  You know it is not your first day in sg to know your good govt not going to be  first or last time to earn money at our expense as such kind souls will post whatever things they going to increase price to let people know.   Any issue?

  I always top up free at bus interchanges or MRTs.

  Who live and work in such ulu place where there are no bus interchanges or MRTs?

  The problem for top-up machine in MRT is that if you use ATM to swipe for the payment after you place your EZ-link card to check for the balance, or even insert dollar note that is not 'straight' properly, something it cannot 'detect' the ATM card or dollar note and proceed the top-up.

  that's problem between keyboard and chair 

   

  so far i have no problems swiping card, inserting notes

   

  just that the touchscreen sometimes not sensitive enough
