Sometime ago, I went shopping for DVDs and I must admit, due to work, I haven't been shopping for several months/years. I got 3 rude shocks of my life.
1. HMV moved again from S313 to Marina Sq?!
2. All CD/VCD/DVD shops in Orchard road closed down suddenly?!
3. Even the CD/VCD/DVD shops in my neighbourhood all closed down?!
I looked back in nostalgia in the golden years when HMV was a mighty 3-storey department store in Heerens, when Borders was a huge area shop in Wheelock place, when Tower Records was still open in Suntec. I spent most of my weekends at those places, how much wonderful memories I had of them....
I still buy and listen to or watch CDs, DVDs. I still have a big collection of old movies in mostly VCDs.
I support original, I don't download songs/movies. For me, a song album consist of a CD disc, with nicely-designed cover art, photo booklet with song lyrics. Not a digital file with no cover art or photo booklet.
I still buy books. I must have hard copy of books, not e-books. I hated digital files, every time my computer crash, everything is gone. Or the file gets corrupted.
Hope there are more like me to support the original and the CD/VCD/DVD will not become items we could only see in a museum.
Not say I want to law saw.....My fave 2nd-hand bookshop at Tampines mall has also closed down!
Borders and PageOne bookshops have closed down. Times and MPH bookshops you don't see many branches nowadays. Sunny bookshop is closing. Popular bookshop is now selling titbits, drinks, snacks too to survive. Keep on downloading ebooks and in the future, the only place we'll find books is in the museum.
I still buy hard copy books to support original and still love the feel of physical hard copy books.
TS Video are in alot of neighborhood malls, NTUC Extra and Giant Hypermart sells DVDs and VCDs too.
The best VCD deals are at Cash Converters, a dollar for a movie.

Not the best deals @ cash con.......yes, the cheapest deals but not the best.
Been there many times, alot of lousy, unwanted, unheard titles/DVDs/things... Unless they learn to recognize collector's value, nobody will want to sell highly sought and high collector value items to them.
Everyone is selling on ebay.com.sg, gumtree, Mavin or Monetarium...
