wad will u do if u know u are hired to replace a old worker

Lets say you are just hired and still fresh, the old employee is tasked to teach you all she knows probably she also know you will replace her... how would you feel or do??

It is quite common to be hired for a post , that the older worker thought she would get promoted into . Hence although your situation is more extreme , please put your feelings a side , concentrate on squeezing as much juice you can out of her before she leaves . Do it in a nice subtle way , to each his own . One day you maybe in her position but before that day comes , just learn learn learn .

I would actually feel really guilty, since this involves sacrificing an older worker for a younger one. Nonetheless, take the best out of any situation and learn as much from the senior, and tell the senior that he needs to take a really good break, and for once enjoy himself.

Was she being terminated or she chose to resign due to family commitments?
If she was terminated, was it due to poor performance, a major mistake made or her inability to cope with workload or were there age discrimination?If she just wants to resign to become tai tai to enjoy life, your worry gone down the drain!
