Can anyone figure out what sense this is making? We received a mail from Etiqa addressed to "Lessee" which I searched online which means "a person who holds the lease of a property; a tenant." which made me confused for a bit; cause we do rent out a room to a malaysian, and Etiqa is based in Malaysia, and we are the sole 'property owner of this house' and we do not know the letter is addressed to who. I did some searching online and found out Etiqa is the sole insurance company for HDB's Fire Insurance. Can someone figure out this whole crazyness for me? Thanks alot

My mum was scared it was addressed to someone wrong :\ so we didn't open it.
It's a business soliciting letter. We get those all the time from unknown companies looking for customers.
If the letter is not addressed to a specific person, name. It's not worth agonising over it.
Just open it up, and toss it away into the recycle bin if you are not interested in their offerings.
If you are in a HDB you are the lessee, the HDB is the lessor. You are not owner of the HDB property, you are only owner of the LEASE.
